The Pressbooks Directory is a tool that allows you to search and filter through all public books that have been published on any Pressbooks network. Pressbooks books that are public on Wheaton’s OpenPress will appear in the Pressbooks Directory once the author “opts in.”

How to “opt in” a book to the Pressbooks Directory

In order “opt in” a book to the Pressbooks Directory, the author must take two steps.

• On the Organize your book page, make sure that “Public” is chosen.

• Then go to “Sharing and Privacy” from the left side navigation menu. You will see at the bottom of the page ” Pressbooks Directory.” If you want to the book to appear on the public directory, make sure you choose “Yes.”
