9 Create Accessible Resources
Once you are ready to get started on your book, you will have to consider how you will make sure it’s can be accessed by as many students as possible, including students with different disabilities and access needs. The following resources will help you determine how to do this.
- See Chapter 3, “Accessibility of Pressbooks” in this guide.
- The Accessibility Toolkit – 2nd Edition provides a comprehensive guide to creating accessible content in Pressbooks.
- Refer to the BCcampus OER Accessibility Criteria [PDF] for an overview of the main things to keep in mind. Please note that this document contains suggestions, or, best practices for creating accessible OER and is not a requirement for OER created using Wheaton College Open Press.
