Last update: October 31, 2024<\/div>\r\nThis chapter describes how Wheaton College faculty and staff access and manage their accounts at OpenPress at Wheaton College (Wheaton's Pressbook instance).\r\n

Accessing your account for the first time<\/h1>\r\nThe Wallace Library Research and Instruction Department supports a self-serve and openly licensed instance of Pressbooks: Wheaton College OpenPress.<\/a>\r\n
    \r\n \t
  1. Before signing in for the first time, fill out the OpenPress Site Registration Request Form<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n \t
  2. After completing the form, go to \u201cSign In\u201d from the header navigation (upper right) menu\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_384\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"300\"]\"Wheaton Open Press Home Page[\/caption]<\/li>\r\n \t
  3. Sign in using your Wheaton College email address<\/li>\r\n \t
  4. You will receive a DUO push<\/li>\r\n \t
  5. Once you receive the duo push you will land on your OpenPress Dashboard which is where you can create or access your books\/projects, change your settings or update your profile.\"Pressbooks<\/li>\r\n \t
  6. You will not have access to book editing until the OpenPress administrators have reviewed your form and registered your book site. This is to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform in terms of the technical and personnel resources required to host, run, maintain, and support the platform.\r\n\r\nStudent accounts will be considered on a case by case basis as we will make exceptions for instructors who want to bring students in to work on an OER either as collaborators or for a course assignment.\r\n\r\nStudent accounts will be deleted after the project\/semester is over.","rendered":"
